Framing update

The weather hasn't been helping us much lately with all of the rain, but the framing is finally starting to come to an end. In the pictures below you can see the progress, from the second story going up to the rafters being installed. By the end of the weekend the framing should be almost totally wrapped up and we can get the building inspector in and move on to the next phase of construction. Check back soon for updates. 

Garage update

While the weather has not been helping us out with the progress on the garage, we have still been able to get some things done. Here are some pictures of the progress.

Siding repair

Here is a picture from a recent job. The siding on this house is cedar siding and the customer had had some problems with wood peckers putting holes in it. So we went in and removed the damaged shakes and replaced them with new ones. We then stained both sides of the house to freshen it up.

The framing has begun on the garage. Here are some pictures from our progress from the past few weeks. 

Shelving install

Here is a little job that we did on the cottage that we worked on over the winter. The owners are getting ready to rent it out and they had us come in and install shelves in the kitchen instead of upper cabinets to save the tenant room. These are just brackets that were bought at Ikea and we installed them on studs to give them extra support. The shelves themselves are just 12" pine. I think that it makes the space feel more open and looks nice.
